Black Chilean Guava

$6.00

Ugni myricoides

This somewhat mysterious plant is a close cousin to the less uncommon Chilean Guava, Ugni molinae native to southern Chile. The Black Chilean Guava is purported to be native to much of Central America and western South America, although its actual native range is probably unknown. What we know for sure is that this plant can be found in the high elevations of Panama, where it grows alongside alpine plants including Fuchsia microphylla.

We’re excited to be able to offer seeds for this rare fruiting plant for a very limited time. If you want to try something new, why not try Black Chilean Guava along with us?

Cold hardiness unknown, although likely frost tolerant.

Seed packages include 15 dried seeds.
